The Streak Continues!
This is the 10th day in a row that I have recieved something in the mail! All the autograph successes were from email today! But I did get two cool cards at a card shop again today, a Mark Brunell Game-Used Jersey card, and a Autograph from Corey Simon!Sorry I have gotten so far behind on updating, I have been busy working on a new and faster version of Sports Patrol. Here are the "forgotten" successes
Fernando signed for me in two weeks c/o his home address. He had been signing like crazy for everyone else a while back and I thought maybe I missed my chance. Nice Success!
Vladimar signed all three of my items! This is my second success from him c/o Spring Training. He signed in only 9 days. (The stuff in this success: 2001 All Star ballot, 99 Ionix, and 98 Topps)
Like Vladimar, this is the second time Mr. Trammell has signed for me c/o Spring Training. He also took 9 days and signed my 2002 Fleer Greats and my 1982 Topps (those cards are 20 years apart!)
5 Successes today!
No time and lots of successes!
Bobby signed my Million Dollar Moments card in only 6 months.
Jay was the first ever heisman winner, he signed my four custom sports cards in two weeks c/o home. (I am very sorry to say that Jay died in late June of 2002)
Mark is a great pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, he signed both of my cards in two weeks c/o spring training.
Derrek is an outfielder for the Marlins, he signed my two cards in two weeks c/o spring training.
T.D. sent me a signed 8x10, a Dolphins bumper sticker, helmet sticker, and team picture in only one week c/o email.
Carolina Panthers Mascot ~ Sir Purr!
Sir Purr signed a 5x7 and sent it to me in a week c/o Email, Awesome! I have added all the Email addresses I have used so far for NFL Mascots to the address file. (Maybe if not now they will come in handy some time soon.)
Jake concert
I know that Sports Patrol is a Sports Only autograph site so I will not share these scans unless asked, but I have to tell you the story.
Jake is my favorite Christian band, I went to see them the first time they were here in town. Today they were in town again so I went to this one too. I was lucky enough to get front row seats with a few of my friends. I got a ton of cool pictures of them during the concert and some movie clips. After the concert they were signing autographs so I obviously went over. Marty, one of the twins in the band remembered me from the first concert! (It was one of the first times they played my favorite song at that time "The One", I had asked if they were going to play it and they wanted to know how I knew they were, Lucky Guess.) Great memory!
No successes today but I did get a autographed card that I won on Ebay!
Six months after the 9.11 tragedy,
America again remembers.
It only seems like yesterday we were all watching our T.V.'s in Horror as we saw the events of the Terrorist's day unfold. It seems only fitting that I give you a paragraph of silence in honor of the men and women that gave their lives to save others, and for those who were not as lucky as we and died in the Twin Towers of New York, The Pentagon, and aboard the hijacked flights.
And now for today's successes.
This was my second success from Don. I found this magazine with my other issues of Sports Spectrum and decided to try and get it signed, the result is this nice signed magazine pictured in the Gallery or through the link above. He signed in only 10 days c/o House of Speed.
One of the talented wideouts for the Tennessee Titans high arsenal offense. Derrick signed my card in 7 months c/o the Team address.
Jacque signed my two cards in 2 months c/o Spring Training.
Jaime signed my two cards in only 10 days c/o Spring Training. The pictured 1999 Topps was one of the two from this success, he also signed a Topps Chrome for me but I will have to use something besides the scanner to capture the full effect.
From Work
Bob is on his deathbed, but His days with the Dallas Cowboys
were good ones.
Antoine is a very well known athlete who plays for the Boston Celtics.
Toro sent me a signed 8x11 as requested in only 3 days! This was my first email success!
Mark is one of my favorite players and was about three inches from following Carlos Beltran as A.L. Rookie of the Year (the year before Ichiro and Pujols). I have other autographs from him in person but that was during his Minor Leagues days, since he has joined the Royals he has snazzed up his signature quite a bit!
I also recieved a autopen from Joe Montana two perfectly similar "autographs". I am not to happy about that, they look different from the ones other collectors have been getting though. I don't know what to think.
Larry signed my card real sloppy. I have no more time to add details or picture today, I will try to get that up tommorrow. (Happy 1st birthday Sports Patrol)
Greg signed my 2 cards in 18 days c/o his home address. He also answered my 7 questions which will be included in a future issue of SP News.
Buck signed my card and index in 7 days c/o Spring Training. But Buck stuck the card back in the plastic protector right after signing it so it didn't turn out to well.
Art signed my card and index c/o Spring Training in about two weeks. I am having alot of trouble with Tripod right now. Let's hope that gets fixed soon so I don't have to go through the hassle of moving.
Ralph signed my 2001 Topps Archives card for me in 28 days c/o his home address.
